This project involved the choosing of a wine brand name and designing a label around that name. With the design of this wine label, I wanted to focus on the name “PDQ Estates.” Taking the name literally, I decided to create a wine label that looks as if it were made “pretty darn quick.” In going about the design of the label I considered what a wine label would look like if it had to be made extremely quickly with very basic materials. This influenced my decision to use somewhat sloppy, hand-rendered text with marker on a torn and crinkled piece of paper.
